"I love living here. People at Alden Horizon are pretty similar – we’re all about the same age with similar interests. My neighbors are very nice – when I was sick, they asked if I needed anything. Everyone cares about everyone else here and I never feel alone, which is nice. Also, I like the fact that residents can be as involved as they want in special events and the other planned activities. The grounds are beautiful with flowers, waterfall, swans, bunnies and other wildlife. Another plus is the Healthplex passes. I go to a swimming class four times a week with my neighbor. Everyone I’ve met here has been just wonderful."

"The sense of community at Alden Horizon and on the 38-acre Waterford campus is awesome. When the Hurricane Katrina disaster struck, our Alden Horizon community pulled together and held a fund-raiser for the victims. Although this is an independent living community, everyone knows each other and really is part of a tight community. When someone needs assistance, there is always someone around to lend a helping hand. I am inspired by the seniors here everyday."
